Since the creation of the South Forsyth Longhorn Youth Lacrosse Association our league has grown to more than 850 players. The overwhelming percentage of these boys and girls are zoned for either South Forsyth or Lambert High School.
As the popularity of lacrosse continues to grow our Board of Directors has decided to separate our league into two leagues, one designated for boys zoned for South Forsyth (South Forsyth War Eagles Youth Lacrosse - SFWEYL) and one for boys zoned for Lambert (Longhorn Youth Lacrosse Association - LYLA). The girls will not be affected by this adjustment and will continue to register and play together.
The two boys leagues will continue to share resources including field space. When you register your son for the Fall league please point your browser to www.sfwareagleslax.com if zoned for South Forsyth and to www.longhornyouthlax.com if zoned for Lambert. Girls will continue to register at www.longhornyouthlax.com regardless of which High School they are zoned for.
Rick Lewis and Jason Alberici will continue with the Learn To Play Clinic. This clinic is highly recommended for young players and for new players that would like instruction on fundamentals including throwing & catching, ground balls, positioning, etc… You can register for Learn To Play Clinic on either www.sfwareagleslax.com or www.longhornyouthlax.com.
Fall registration is expected to open within the next few days. Shortly after registration opens we will scheduled dates for evaluations, team selections, practice evenings, and a competitive 7 versus 7 game schedule.
We look forward to seeing your sons & daughters on the field!
